Networking means to cultivate people who can be helpful to one's professional life. Where does the networking take place? Who are in attendance? How is the atmosphere?

The intern's eyes widened, completely surprised by the presence of the ticket. “What's the big deal?” Wolfe could not comprehend. The intern went on to explain that everyone downstairs in the fashion magazine office was vying for the opportunity to attend the event. Of course it would be a grand party, with drinks and food of expensive taste, but more importantly, it would be a great opportunity for networking since there would be many big players from the industry in attendance. With only a few tickets available while everyone wanted to go, people were willing to do all sorts of things to get their hands on the ticket.
