It was almost midnight when he arrived. He saw the last people leave as the building entered lock-down mode at midnight. From the janitor's closet, he got his supplies. Cleaning the washrooms did not take long. He just needed to polish the hallway floor before getting his actual work started. Whistling a merry tune, he allowed the floor polisher to do its work. He thought he heard a door closing somewhere far away, but it did not concern him. Everyone in the chemistry department already left, he was sure of it.
