Back to 2000 A.D., "for the good of our children", as it was explained, the "concerned departments" announced a ban on the production and sale of game consoles in Chinese mainland. After that, popular consoles like PSP, Xbox and Wii became smuggled goods sold on gray markets for game fanciers. But the fact is, over the past 13 years, living in an increasingly digital world, that children get easier access to game devices from computers to smartphones. For instance, today it is difficult to find a kid who has no idea of Angry Bird, or Plants Vs Zombies. On the other hand, I believe that playing game is not as harmful as many adults think, who actually play more often. Moderate game playing helps children develop their creativity, imagination and reaction. The discussions on the ban of games bring us back to the admitted lesson that "every coin has two sides", and now the autorities have just found the other side of it, wearing the glasses of needs for reform.
