THE BEATLES 1960-1970
为啥叫Beatles?
John loved 'Buddy Holly and the Crickets', so they toyed with insect names. It was John who came up with 'Beetles'. He changed it to 'Beatles' because he said if you turned it round it was 'les beat', which sounded French and cool.
披头士是史上最伟大、最有影响力的摇滚乐队。这支利物浦组建的英国摇滚乐队。根植于民歌爵士乐skiffle music和50年代摇滚（Rock and roll），披头士探索了各种音乐类型，从流行pop谣曲Ballad到迷幻摇滚Psychedelic rock，经常创新地运用经典元素。

Harry came up with the band name because he thought the band had to go in "one direction" to win it all. Well, they didn't win the X Factor UK, but they did win the world!
英国、爱尔兰男子音乐组合。2010年7月23日于歌唱比赛“X音素”（The X Factor）上组成出道。赞恩·马利克退出后是4个人。

为啥叫滚石？

Little did the Rolling Stones know how apt their name – inspired by the title of a Muddy Waters song, “Rollin' Stone” – would turn out to be. Formed in 1962, they hold the record for longevity as a rock and roll band.
1962年4月在伦敦成立的英国摇滚乐队。乐队成立开始时期他们演奏自己改编的蓝调blues、节奏蓝调Rhythm and Blues(R&B)、乡村音乐Country music和摇滚乐。，滚石也始终没有停止从其它音乐形式获得新的灵感。在他们的音乐中他们吸收了雷鬼音乐Reggae、庞克摇滚Punk Rock和舞曲Dance music的成分。

Coldplay

为啥叫酷玩？
The band was originally called Starfish, while a friend's group was called Coldplay. When the other band no longer wanted their name, Starfish asked if they could use it instead. The original Coldplay had taken the name from a book of collected poems.
97年成立于英国伦敦的另类摇滚alternative rock乐队。早期作品常被与之声司令、U2等相提并论。八个全英音乐奖、七个格莱美奖、五个MTV音乐录影带奖。并积极投身于社会与政治组织活动。

Queen. Originally called Smile, singer Freddie Mercury came up with the new name for the band, later saying: "Years ago I thought up the name 'Queen'… It's just a name, but it's very regal obviously, and it sounds splendid…It's a strong name, very universal and immediate.
英国摇滚乐乐队，成立于1971年伦敦，主唱和贝斯手逝世，现只剩下2人。

Oasis 1991-2008
代表作：Don't Look Back in Anger、wonderwall
Liam suggested that the band name be changed to Oasis. This change was inspired by an Inspiral Carpets tour poster that hung in the Gallagher brothers' bedroom. One of the venues the poster listed was the Oasis Leisure Centre in Swindon, Wiltshire.
1991年成立于曼彻斯特的英国摇滚乐团
8次英国冠军单曲、7张英国冠军专辑、15座NME音乐奖、9座Q音乐奖、4座MTV欧洲音乐大奖、6座全英音乐奖（包括2007年的杰出贡献奖）BBC之声听众票选三十年最佳英国专辑、三度格莱美提名。已解散。
