        歌曲《ONLY HOPE》是2002年电影《初恋的回忆》(A Walk to Remember)里的插曲。电影末尾有这样一句话，“In loving memory of Danielle Sparks Lewis and Jimmy Everest ” Danille就是电影编剧的已去世的妹妹，表达了他对亡妹的怀念和对她那段忠贞爱情的由衷纪念。而Jimmy Everest是一名已经在1992年就因骨癌去世的17岁少年，死后人们以他的名字命名了一所防治癌症和血液疾病的医疗中心，以此纪念他。电影中出现Jimmy Everest的名字不仅仅是为了祭奠英年早逝的少年，更是为了向人们传达一种愿望：关注身边的癌症患者，给予他们关爱，让他们能够见证生命的奇迹，即电影女主角吉米所说的：Witness A Miracle —— 让这世界充满爱从歌词可以看出,其中弥漫了对心中另一人与自己对未来的期望和向往,其中不乏淡淡的忧伤。
        演唱者Mandy Moore是影片《初恋的回忆》的女主角。此歌出现在男女主角出演话剧时，女主角为男主角而唱。
