Starflower is a band of four young men. They come from southwest Finland(芬兰) and play atmospheric pop music. The music of Starflower combines tender pop melodies with joyful playing. It delivers its own fresh view on the long traditions of guitar pop. Mellow and cheerful moods exist side by side on the debut album（首张专辑） of the band, "Moment in the Sun".
The story of Starflower begun in 2001, when guitarist and songwriter Timo suggested to the drummer Mikko to try out playing the songs he had written. Singer Antti and bass player Lauri were asked to join the band, since the guys had played together before. Starflower was born. After this the band continued like many bands before them: wrote songs, rehearsed them, and played occasional live shows.

Experience gained from the recording of two small-scale cd-r releases, Starflower returned to studio in 2005 with a plan to record material for a debut album. The band chose Aki Peltonen to be the recorder/producer, since he had plenty of experience with Finnish music; both commercial and independent. The band recorded 10 songs during the summer and mixed the tracks with Peltonen during the autumn and the record was finished in the beginning of 2006. The music of Starflower has gained interest by followers of pop music in various countries. With this record, the band wants to offer its best response to these expectations.
