        影片的故事发生在《灵动：鬼影实录2》结束后的5年。影片的主角也转变成了爱丽丝。爱丽丝和自己的男朋友、母亲以及自己的弟弟维艾特生活在一起。家中似乎一切安好，但是随着爱丽丝的母亲把罗比带入到这个家庭中之后，就总是会有怪事发生。为了寻找出怪事的真相，爱丽丝在家中安装了一个摄影机。摄影机拍摄出来的东西，令人毛骨悚然。可是事情并未就此结束，怪事渐渐从黑暗之中走到了阳光之下--即使在白天，都会有怪事出现。看来爱丽丝一家，这次要和灵异事件正面交锋了。
        Paranormal Activity 4 is a 2012 American supernatural horror film, directed by Ariel Schulman and Henry Joost, directors of Paranormal Activity 3, and written by Zack Estrin. The film features Katie Featherston, who starred in the first film, and had cameos in the other two. The film was released in theaters and IMAX on October 17, 2012 in the United Kingdom and was released on October 18, 2012 in the United States, by Paramount Pictures. It is the fourth film in the Paranormal Activity film series, and a sequel to Paranormal Activity 2, set several years later.
