The Showtime horror series ended its run after three seasons with a surprise series finale Sunday night. The Season 3 finale doubled as a series finale, ending with the death of Vanessa Ives (Eva Green).Showtime电视网的系列剧集在周日晚以第三季最后一集出人意料地迎来了大结局。第三季最后一集的结局也是整个剧集的大结局——以凡妮莎·艾夫斯（伊娃·格林）的死亡结束了《低俗怪谈》。
Creator John Logan told Deadline that he had always planned to end the series after three seasons, but the creative team and the network decided to keep that under wraps in order to maintain an element of surprise.制作人约翰·洛根告诉Deadline他一直就打算只写三季《低俗怪谈》，但是创作团队和网站决定封锁这个消息，以此给观众来一个出其不意。
"I feel like every show kind of has its own rules and its own rhythms and to say that [the show was ending], given what I knew the ending of Penny Dreadful was going to be, felt like a massive spoiler and it felt disrespectful to the experience that people were having with the show," Logan said.洛根说：“我觉得每部电视剧都有其自己的规律和节奏。因为我自己知道《低俗怪谈》的结局会是怎样，如果说出来的话就算是剧透了，这有点不尊重正在看这部剧的观众。” |
