        小编导读:本周美剧词汇选自《CSI犯罪现场调查》第15季第14集。
        示例音频:
        http://f1.w.hjfile.cn/doc/201605/bet例句030532313.mp3
The word "bet" is used to express some opinion about the future. It's often associated with gambling or risking something of value.Bet可用来表达某人对未来的看法,常与赌博或是拿值钱物件冒险联系起来。
In these sentences, "bet" is a verb:在下列句子中,bet是动词:
Tony bet $20 on a horse at the racetrack.在赛马场,托尼押了20美元在一匹马上。
How much would you like to bet?你想赌多少?
I'll bet you ten dollars your team doesn't win.我拿10美元跟你赌,你的队伍不会赢。
When used as a verb, "bet" also means that a person has a strong belief that something is true.Bet用作动词时,还能用来表示某人认为某件事是真实的强烈念头。
I'll bet the price of a gallon of gas will go up this summer.我认为今年夏天一加仑汽油的价格会下降。
What do you want to bet if rains tomorrow during the game?你拿什么赌明天比赛时会下雨?
They're betting on a better future in sunny California.他们相信,在阳光普照的加利福尼亚,会有一个美好的未来。
In the next set of sentences and questions, the word "bet" is a noun:在接下来的例句和问题中,bet是名词:
        Tony placed a twenty-dollar bet on a horse.托尼在那匹马上押了20美元。
What kind of a bet do you want to make?你想打什么赌?
Betting isn't allowed in here. (The word "betting" is a gerund in this sentence.)这里不许赌博。(Betting在这句话中是动名词)
Note: The word "bet" can be used when saying "You're welcome." When someone says "thank-you," sometimes Americans reply with, "You bet." The contracted form of this is "You betcha." (betcha = bet you)注意:bet可以在说“不客气”时使用。当有人说“谢谢”时,有时美国人会回以“You bet.”,这是“You betcha.”的缩写形式(betcha相当于bet you)。
        A: Thanks for helping me.A:谢谢你的帮忙。
        B: You bet.B:不客气。
