How could you, Auntie Terry?
It was Mitch’s sad sister Terry — not Darren’s aide Jamie — who was responsible for drowning Rosie on that fateful night. Remarkably, actress Jamie Anne Allman, who has portrayed Terry Marek from the start, didn’t learn about her tragic role in the murder until two hours before the drama’s table read earlier this year. “[Executive producer] Veena Sud called me,” the actress recalled to EW. “I had no idea why she was calling. I actually thought I was in trouble. She was like, ‘Yeah, well, Terry is the killer.’ I was in shock, and then I just started to cry. I felt like such a nerd. I felt so bad for Terry.”
To prepare for the gut-wrenching scene, Allman recalls holing herself up in her bedroom and watching murder confessions that she found on You Tube. “I wasn’t allowed to tell anybody,” Allman recalls during the drama’s shoot in Canada earlier this year. “I lived with a family in Canada and my roommates would come in and say, ‘Jamie, are you okay? It’s really heavy in here.’”
Now that it’s over, Allman would like to go back and watch the previous 25 episodes to see how effectively the writers teed up the finale. (Sud told Allman that she knew Terry was the killer from the beginning). “It will be a nice little adventure for myself,” admits Allman, though she’s not sure whether it would have made any difference knowing her character’s fate. “There is no use looking back and going, ‘Oh, there is one scene I wish I would have known that I was the killer.’ I do wish there was a scene that showed the moment when Terry found out Rosie was in the trunk. I wish that was in there.”
Allman also has another wish — that fans would cut Sud some slack. “I think she did a really good job,” the actress said. “As I have said a thousand times about the backlash, I feel like everyone is entitled to their opinions, and she handled it the best way she knew how at that time. Some people liked it and some didn’t. What I really thought was amazing was how AMC decided to stick by it no matter what.”
At this point, it’s unclear how long AMC will continue to stick with The Killing. The network isn’t saying whether it will return for a third season, but Allman doesn’t see why not. “They have a whole other crime idea set up and in place,” the actress told EW. “It should be exciting. And Mireille Enos (Linden) and Joel Kinnaman (Holder) are such an amazing pair. They have great chemistry.”
What’s next for Allman? Comedy, believe it or not. The actress, whose breakout role was that as a prostitute informant on The Shield, has a hankering to do standup. “Comedy is my forte. It’s so weird,” she said. “I’ve been doing drama all these years. I started doing open mic nights. It’s the most terrifying thing I have ever done in my life.”

现在都结束了，奥尔曼可以重看之前的25集了，看看编剧是如何安排这一切的。（制片人苏德曾告诉奥尔曼说，她一早就知道泰丽是凶手。）奥尔曼也不确定如果早知道自己扮演的角色有这么悲剧的命运，会不会在表演上有所不同，但她同时也承认，不知道结局也有好处，“这对我来说是个美丽的冒险。重点并不是我什么时候发现自己是凶手，而应该是在某一场景，泰丽发现她是凶手。我希望我表现出了这种状态。”
奥尔曼的另一个愿望是希望影迷们放过苏德。“我认为她做的很好。我以前就曾说过很多次，我认为每个人都有权发表自己的观点，而她在那时顶住了压力，以她能做到的最好的方式处理了这一切。对于一部电视剧来说，有人喜欢，有人不喜欢，这都很正常。而更让我觉得惊讶的是，无论外界的反应如何，AMC坚持了最初的计划。”
到目前为止，我们还不知道AMC是否会续订《谋杀》，电视网没有明确表示第三季的回归，但奥尔曼认为一切皆有可能。“他们已经构思了另一个点子，那会很有意思。而且 米瑞·伊诺丝（ Mireille Enos） ——饰演 林頓（Linden) 和 乔尔·金纳曼 （Joel Kinnaman ）——饰演 霍德(Holder)配合的很好，他们有很多花火。”
