1、Without further ado. 我们闲话少说。
        without more/further ado 闲言少说;立即;不再拖延
        e.g: So without further ado, I'll now ask Mr. Davis to open the debate. 我马上去叫Mr. Davis开始今天的辩论。
       

2、Division was sent to clean up P9 after a sleeper went AWOL and shot two policemen in Eustice. "组织"被派去清理掉第九计划,因为有一名沉睡者擅离职守,在尤斯塔斯枪击了两名警察。
        AWOL = absent without leave 擅离职守
        e.g: Two soldiers had gone AWOL the night before. 昨晚有两个士兵擅离职守。
       

3、Oversight is concerned an old pet project may be to blame, and Percy might be able to allay their fears."上峰"怀疑以前一个低级研究项目与这次刺杀有关,而珀西也许能解开他们的忧虑。
        ease/allay/dispel sb.'s fears 让某人不再害怕;消除顾虑
        e.g: Frank eased my fear about not being able to speak the local language. Frank消除了我不会说本地方言的顾虑。
       

4、What if I were to provide you with a list of the men close to Sergei Semak--all his top brass?如果我给你一份谢尔盖·斯迈克高级官员的名单呢?
        top brass 高管;高级军官;要员
        e.g: The top brass are coming in from Washington to see how we do things here. 这个从华盛顿来的高管,来看我们干的怎么样。
       

5、She tried to dissuade me from my mission and failed.她试图劝我就此罢手,可惜未果。
        dissuade somebody from (doing) something = persuade someone not to do something 劝某人别做某事
        e.g: a campaign to dissuade young people from smoking 一个劝告青年别吸烟的活动
       

6、There is a value in an eye for an eye, you know...有时候有必要以眼还眼。
        an eye for an eye 以牙还牙
        e.g: An eye for an eye is no way to run a civilised justice system. 以牙还牙的做法是不可能维持一个文明社会的司法系统的。
       

7、Keep an eye out for people on cell phones.
密切注意那些接听电话的人。
        keep an eye open/out (for somebody/something) 密切注意(某人或某物出现)
        e.g: Keep an eye out for rabbits in the field. 密切注意这片地方是否有兔子出没。
       

8、I put you guys next to the senator's table so you can rub elbows with the bigwigs.
我把您二位安排到挨着参议员的餐桌,这样你们有机会跟大人物推杯换盏哦。
        rub elbows/shoulders with somebody 与(名人)交往;与(有权势的人)接触
        e.g: As a reporter he gets to rub shoulders with all the big names in politics. 作为一名记者他有机会和所有政坛名人接触。
       

9、Well, you got clean. That's all that matters.
你现在戒掉了,这就是最重要的了。
        all that matters/the only thing that matters 最重要的是;最关键的是
        e.g: All that matters is that you're safe. 最重要的是你现在安全了。
       

10、Gear was top of the line.
设备都是最先进的。
        top of the range/line 该种类中最好的
        e.g: a top-of-the-range electric guitar 最好的电吉他
       

11、Okay, you guys are gonna want to stay to the right. On second thought, maybe not.
你们可以靠右边走。(这时有人来了)等等,估计不行。
        on second thought 进一步考虑后(用于表达要改变主意)
        e.g: I'll call her tomorrow—no, on second thought, I'll try now. 我明天给她电话——算了,我还是现在打吧。
       

12、Mars used a form of radical hypnotherapy to manipulate his patients, driving them to commit violent acts on his behalf.
玛斯博士用了种激进的催眠疗法来操纵他的病人,叫他们为他去暴力犯罪。
        on behalf of somebody 代表某人;代替某人
        e.g: She asked the doctor to speak to her parents on her behalf. 她让医生替她和她的父母说话。
       

13、First things first.
先做要紧事。
        first things first 要紧的事先做
        e.g: First things first. You must finish this before you go. 要紧的事得先做,你得在走之前完成此事。
