        　　An Evening View of the Tower on River Bank
        　　To the Tune of Plum-sweeping Wind
        　　Zhao Shanqing
        　　枫枯叶，
        　　柳瘦丝，
        　　夕阳闲画阑十二。
        　　望晴空莹然如片纸，
        　　一行雁一行愁字。
        　　Withered maple leaves are whirling,
        　　Slim willow twigs are swaying,
        　　Twelve rails cast shadows on the tower in the sunset.
        　　Gazing into the sky it’s a clean sheet of paper spread,
        　　A flight of wild geese forms a line of characters sad.
