菲利普·拉金(Philip Larkin，1922-1985)，英国诗人。1922年8月9日生于考文垂。1943年毕业于牛津大学圣约翰学院。曾先后工作于威灵顿(1943-1946)公共图书馆以及雷斯特(1946-1950)、贝尔法斯特(1950-1955)、赫尔(1955-1985)等大学图书馆。
Once I believed in you,
And then you came,
Unquestionably new, as fame
Had said you were. But that was long ago.

Yet I obeyed,
