Many of us dream of wearing the beautiful costumes from period dramas like Downton Abbey... however few would go quite as far as donning them every day.很多女孩都会梦想穿上年代剧《唐顿庄园》里那样精致的漂亮服装，但是应该很少有人做到在日常生活中每天穿着这样的衣服吧。
But romantic fiction-lover, Lyn-Marie Cunliffe, has taken her obsession with Victorian literature to the extreme - by living her modern life dressed as her heroine Charlotte Bronte.不过超级浪漫小说迷林恩-玛丽·坎丽芙真的做到了：因为极度痴迷维多利亚时期的文学作品，坎丽芙每天穿成夏洛蒂·勃朗特过着现代生活。勃朗特三姐妹中的夏洛蒂是她的偶像。
The 49-year-old loves the 19th century author so much that she dresses like her all the time - even on trips to the supermarket.坎丽芙现年49岁，因为太爱这位19世纪的女作家，所以每天穿成女作家的样子，就连去超市也不例外。
The mother-of-two wears home-made full-length dresses whilst doing the school run - not bothering to change even when she's out grabbing a burger with the kids.坎丽芙是两个孩子的母亲，她在接送孩子的时候会穿着自己缝制的全身长裙，甚至有时候去超市抢购汉堡包时也不愿意换下来。
But the bookworm's bizarre look is a hit with locals in her hometown of Keighley, West Yorkshire - near the parsonage in Haworth where the Bronte family lived. Lyn-Marie started dressing as the author - who wrote Jane Eyre - three years ago. She said: 'I love the works of all the Bronte sisters, and really wanted to encourage other people to find out more about them.坎丽芙在三年前开始把自己打扮成《简爱》作者夏洛蒂·勃朗特的样子。“我很喜欢勃朗特三姐妹的作品，想要鼓励其他人也多去发现她们作品的魅力。”
Lyn-Marie has forked out a whopping £4,000 fashioning more than 50 incredible period costumes.坎丽芙拥有超过50套的梦幻年代服饰，为了这些衣服她支付了至少有4000英镑的加工费，数额惊人。
She added: 'I dress as Charlotte because the other Brontes were quite young when they died and I'm 49. But I feel I'm more like Emily because she loved the Yorkshire moors and animals.她还表示：“我打扮成夏洛蒂，是因为其他两位勃朗特姐妹都是在很年轻的时候过世，而我今年都49岁了。我觉得自己更像艾米丽·勃朗特（英国小说《呼啸山庄》的作者），因为我和她一样，很爱约克的沼泽荒野，很喜欢动物。”

'I tend to do my shopping in costume, and people love seeing me around. I went into Sainsbury's in jeans once, and the checkout girl told me to go home and come back as Charlotte.“我也喜欢穿着年代服装出门买东西，大家也都很乐意看到我穿。有一次我穿着牛仔裤去塞恩斯伯里商店买东西，那个收银的小姑娘跟我说快回家穿回夏洛蒂。”

'I also go into McDonald's a lot because they serve their drinks with a closed lid and I don't have to worry about dropping milkshake or coffee on my costume.'“我也喜欢去麦当劳，因为麦当劳的饮料有密封盖子，所以不用担心会把奶昔或者咖啡弄到衣服上。”
Lyn-Marie, who sews all the costumes herself, said her passion for the Brontes might have stemmed from an honours degree in history.坎丽芙的衣服全部是自己手工缝制的，她表示自己对勃朗特三姐妹的热情都是由于自己是历史学荣誉学士毕业生的缘故。
The Cunliffe family is very supportive of Lyn-Marie, who lives with retired joiner husband John, 50, and has two children Rebecca, 24, and Matthew, 27.坎丽芙的家人都很支持她的行为，50岁的丈夫约翰是退休木匠，还有两个孩子：24岁的女儿丽贝卡和27岁的儿子马修。
She said: 'I used to work as a behavioural support teacher in a school and I would pick my daughter up from work. I still pick Becky up but she doesn't seem to notice, never mind care, that I'm dressed as Charlotte Bronte. I think she thinks it's funny!’“我以前在学校担任行为支持的特殊教育老师，会接女儿下班。现在我还是会去接女儿，她一点不会注意到也不介意我穿成勃朗特的样子，我想女儿肯定觉得很有趣。” |
