        B: Yeah, he almost jumped out of his skin when they squeezed off the first shots.

        A: That Jay is a henpecked wimp of a husband who lets his wife run all over him.
        B: He’s always so uptight about making her angry.

        B: 他总是很紧张，生怕惹老婆生气。
        A: 每次他老婆一喊他，他就吓得直起鸡皮疙瘩。
        【语言点精讲】
        yellow-bellied: 胆小的，胆怯的。
        GI: 美国大兵，是Government Issue的缩写。
        jump out of one’s skin: 形容人极度惊讶或害怕，似乎到了灵魂出窍的程度。
        squeeze off: 扣扳机射击。
        henpecked: 妻管严的，惧内的。
        wimp: 懦弱的人；无能的人。
        uptight: 紧张的，神经质的。
