                In places, the Great Wall of China is so dilapidated that estimates of its total length vary from nine thousand to 21 thousand kilometres. One Chinese farmer Yang Yongfu decided to do something about it. And where the Great Wall bordered his own farmland began restoring it. After years of backbreaking work, he turned his section of the wall into a tourist attraction. But that put him on a collision course with the authorities.中国的长城有部分区段实在破败不堪，以致于对其总长度的各种估算相差极大，从9000公里到21,000公里不等。一位中国农民杨永福决定要为此做点什么。就在长城与他庄稼地的交界处，他开始了修复工作。经过多年艰苦辛劳的努力，他把自己那一段的长城变成了一处旅游胜地。但这却令他处于官方机构的冲突对立面。
