This evening, at the Beitunia checkpoint in the West Bank, a Palestinian bagpipe band played as 26 prisoners were driven out of a jail in central Israel in buses with tinted windows. The men were freed as part of the deal to restart peace talks between the Israeli and Palestinians, their first direct negotiations in nearly three years.
