                Vocabulary: Movie Genres

                Have a conversation to about a movie. Be sure to recycle the language:
                I saw this great movie …
                What was it?
                What was it about?
                Want to watch it with me?
                Absolutely!
                What are you in the mood for?
                Stop that! You’ve got to be kidding.
                I’ll be up all night.
       
                How to show your preference?
               
       
                Practice:
                Complete each response, using I‘d rather or I‘d rather not and expressing a different preference.
                1. I’m in the mood for a horror movie.    Actually, I                   
                2. Would you like to see a comedy?       Actually, I                    
                3. How about some dinner after the film?   Actually, I                    
       
                Conversation:
                Look at the picture and listen to the conversation.
                A: What would you rather see—a classic or a new release?
                B: It doesn’t matter to me. You choose.
                A: Well, what would you say to a documentary?
                B: Hmm. To tell the truth, I’m not that big on documentaries.
                A: What about a comedy?
                B: That works for me.
               
                Rhythm and intonation:
                Listen again and repeat. Then practice reading it in pairs.

                A: Personalize the conversation, expressing your own preference in movie genres.
