If you’re in China, however, there is a third option - a ‘Face-Kini’ complete with a body suit (潜水衣).
The name describes a protective head mask that is being used in Shandong province's East China Sea coast by beach-goers who want to protect their skin from the sun.

在山东青岛洗海澡，吸引你的也许不是身穿比基尼的靓丽大嫚，而是这些酷似“外星人”的大妈们！7月14日，下午2时许，记者在第一海水浴场看到，几位头戴“CS面罩”、穿着连体泳衣的大妈正在沙滩上做热身活动，准备下水。
一浴工作人员介绍，这种面罩最早出现在2006年，当时有几位老人为了防蜇、防晒，自己用旧衣服剪的。这种面罩虽然乍一看很吓人，但很实用，就逐渐在游泳爱好者中时兴起来。后来，一些卖泳衣的商家开始批量生产，每个面罩价格在20元左右，深受游泳爱好者，尤其是大妈们的喜爱。
