        B: That’s because he bought a dog, a Golden Retriever called Jilly. She keeps him on his toes.

        A: John is such a dreamboat. Every time I see him I feel paralysed and helpless.
        B: All the girls seem to be too shy to talk to him. If you had the courage, he’d probably be yours.
        A: John可真迷人啊。每次见到他我都软了。
        B: 所有女孩都很害羞不敢和他说哈。你要有胆量的话，他也许就属于你了。
        【语言点精讲】
        infirm: 通常指因年老而体弱的，虚弱的。
        retriever: 经训练会衔回猎物的狗。
        on one's toe: 有活力的。
        paralysed: 出于害怕等而不能移动的；无力活动的；瘫痪的。
        dreamboat: 万人迷，极吸引人的人。
        shy: 害羞。
        courage: 勇气。
