The whole time I was thinking about how I could get out of that place. 当时我一直都在想我怎么才能够离开那个地方。
1.The whole time：从头到尾；整个时间
例句：They only met twice during the whole time they were neighbours.（他们在毗邻而居期间只见过两次面。）
2.Think about：想，思考，考虑；对……有（(某种观点）；回想起，记起
例句：She was thinking about her childhood days.（她在回忆自己的童年时代。）
3.Get out of：离开；戒掉；从……得到
例句：Dad wants to get out of the rat race and move back to his hometown.（父亲想离开无休无止的竞争，回到他的故乡。）

His demeanor was a little too uptight. 他有些拘束。
1.Demeanor：行为，举止，态度
例句：His good demeanor spoke well for him when he went to apply for the job.（他去申请工作时，他良好的举止帮了他不少忙。）

Behavior侧重的是某人在特定场合对他人或在他人面前的行为、举止
例句：His foolish behavior lost him the job.（他的愚蠢行为使他丢失了工作。）
2.Uptight：紧张的，愤怒的；手头拮据的；（经济情况）很糟糕的笑

My officemate set me up on a blind date with a friend of hers. 我的同事给我和她的一个朋友安排了一次相亲。
1.“Set sb up”在这里指“给某人介绍对象”
例句：A guy gets set up on a blind date and he takes her out for dinner to a very expensive restaurant to make a good impression.（一个小伙子被安排去相亲，为了能给女孩留一个好印象，他带着她去了家收费昂贵的餐厅。）
2.Workday：工作日，平日（指非假日）
1）You set me up（你出卖/陷害我。）
2）Plenty of foreign firms have set up factories here.（很多外国公司已在这里开办工厂。）
2.Blind date：指的是由相熟的人或者婚介所安排的男女间的初次约会，而非盲目的约会。
例句：My wife and I first met on a blind date arranged by her sister.（我和我妻子初次会面是由她姐姐安排的。）

1.Things Have Changed. （事情变了 / 事情已改变 / 事过境迁。）
例句：Things have changed very much since you left here.（自从你们离开这儿以来，事情变化很大。）
2.Before long：（时间）不久之后，在短时间内；不久，很快
例句：I hope to see you again before long.（我希望不久能再见到你。）
