1. Match作名词表示“比赛，对手，敌手，相配之物”，比如说：
1）I was his match at tennis.（打网球我跟他难分伯仲。）
2）The chairs and the desk are a good match.（这些椅子和这种书桌很相配。）
2. Match作动词用表示“使较量，使比赛，（使）相配”比如说：
1） No one matches him when it comes to swimming.（谈到游泳，没有人比得过他。）
2）Those two shoes don't match.（那两只鞋不是一双。）
