Susan B. Anthony died in 1906 at the age of 86. 13 years later, in 1919, Congress passed the 19th Amendment to the Constitution. The amendment stated that the right to vote shall not be denied because of a person's sex. The amendment had to be approved by 3/4 of the states. It won final approval on August 26, 1920.
