I thought getting the vote for women was the only thing that would make me happy. And now we've just got the vote, well, some of it, some of us, and about time, too, but it's got nothing to do with happiness. I've found that much out.你得把这事上报给校长，一定得这么做。真有这么糟吗？那当然，这可是最恶劣的... 让年轻女孩接触这些... 这书你看了多少？挺多的。再给我们读几段，费格森太太。要读自己去买。如果让温诺普小姐告诉校长她是在亭子或者什么地方找到的话，会不会不太好？我决定了，我要把它放回去。不行。为什么不行？这是本好书，并不下流。但孩子不该看。我像高年级学生那么大时是个妇女参政权论者，我以为争取妇女选举权是唯一能让我高兴的事。而现在我们有选举权了，至少部分妇女有部分选举权，也是时候了。但这跟快乐无关。这一点我已经想通了。
