Secretary of State John Kerry says chemical weapons were used in Syria and is accusing President Assad of destroying evidence. Kerry says the U.S. has additional information about the attack and will make it public soon.
San Francisco water authorities are scrambling to fill area reservoirs before ash from a wildfire near Yosemite National Park taints supplies. Ash has been falling on the city's reservoir in Yosemite, but so far hasn't sunk far enough into the lake to reach intake pumps.
Jurors deciding whether to impose a rare military death sentence on Army Major Nidal Hasan, heard testimony Monday from victims and their families. The military panel convicted Hasan last week for the 2009 deadly shooting at Fort Hood.
And Afghanistan war veteran, Army Staff Sergeant Ty Carter received the Medal of Honor Monday from President Obama. Carter risked his life in 2009 to save an injured soldier and to resupply ammunition to his comrades during intense fighting that left eight soldiers dead.
