Welcome to the Natural History Museum. There's one dream that many people working here share, and that's to discover and name a new species.  It's a part of the Museum's great task to fully understand the complex world we live in. We're all over the museum and on expedition, seeking out life in an unexplored jungle.
I tend to shy away from dangerous snakes.
Beneath the sea in Sweden.
There it is. We've found it. We've found it.
And on the streets closer to home.
This time we're hearing stories of great explorers and joining the people that carry on the difficult and sometimes dangerous tradition today, right here in the Natural History Museum, the Museum of Life.
The truth is you never know when a species that rocks the scientific world is gonna turn up.
In December 1938, a fishing boat landed at a port on the east coast of South Africa. The captain was puzzled by an unusual-looking fish.
