阿隆·科普兰（AaronCopland，1900—），美国作曲家。祖籍俄国，是第一位被认为有本土风味的美国作曲家。30年代多次访问墨西哥，1936年根据墨西哥流行曲调创作管弦乐幻想曲《墨西哥沙龙》，十分成功。用这一风格写作的其他作品尚有芭蕾舞剧《小伙子比利》、《牧区竞技》和《阿帕拉契亚之春》。晚年少创作，转而从事指挥。

Aaron Copland wrote many kinds of music. He wrote music for the orchestra, piano, and voice. He wrote music for plays, movies and dance. Copland also was a conductor, pianist, speaker, teacher and author. Music critics say Copland taught Americans about themselves through his music. He used parts of many old traditional American folk songs in his work. He was influenced to do this after studying music in France. He said that composers there had a very French way of writing music. He said Americans had nothing like that in this country.
