        圣十字架宫是王室血腥历史的见证。历史上有名的苏格兰玛丽女王——号称当时最美丽的女人就曾住在城堡塔楼中。玛丽15岁嫁给法国王室，19岁丈夫去世又回到苏格兰，在民众拥戴中登上王位。玛丽女王在叛变中失掉王位并逃往英格兰，囚禁19年后被处死。玛丽女王的秘书在塔楼中被刺56刀而死，现在这里还立着一块指示牌。这就不难理解为什么圣十字架宫会经常传出闹鬼的传闻了。

The royal chateau at Blois is still one of the finest palaces in the country.
