Beijing’s weather department has lifted a warning on torrential rains in northern parts of the city.
Affected by a cold front, the rain started at 11 am Tuesday in Beijing’s north, where the majority of rainfall was experienced. In Yanqing district, the water level reached more than 35 millimetres, making it the worst hit area.
Beijing’s weather department issued warnings on both torrential rains and thunderstorms Tuesday morning. It called on residents in the north and east to take precautions against potential dangers and injuries. The latest weather forecast shows the rains should stop by Tuesday evening. |
