                New York officials say the Boston Marathon bombing suspects intended to detonate their remaining explosives in Times Square. Dzhokhar Tsarnaev told investigators that he and his brother were planning an attack in New York.
       
                 
       
                The Obama administration says U.S. intelligence has a varying amount of confidence that Syria’s government has twice used chemical weapons. But more definitive proof is needed before the U.S. escalates its involvement there.
       
                 
       
                President Obama honored his predecessor George W. Bush at the dedication of the Bush Library in Dallas. The president described him as a good man and as a leader who demonstrated strength, resolve and compassion.
       
                 
       
                A fire that erupted when two fuel barges exploded in Mobile, Alabama has been put out. Three people were critically burned and a crew of a nearby cruise ship had to be evacuated.
