Boston's police commissioner says investigators believe the suspects in the marathon bombing were likely planning other attacks. He says authorities have reason to believe Dzhokhar Tsarnaev and brother Tamerlan were going to attack other individuals.
Officials gave members of the media a tour of the zone damaged by an explosion at a Texas fertilizer plant. They did not allow reporters to see what was happening at the site, though four heavily damaged metal structures were visible from nearby.
Another portion of the flooded Mississippi river is closed after around 80 barges broke loose south of St. Louis. The river is cresting at some spots north of St. Louis, but remains on the rise south of the city.
And Princess Kate was showing a bit of a baby bump. The six-month pregnant Duchess of Cambridge honored scouts on the day of the Queen's 87th birthday.
