Chinese President Xi Jinping is now in South Africa for a state visit as well as to attend a summit of the BRICS countries.
The Chinese president is scheduled to meet with his South African counterpart Jacob Zuma later on this Tuesday in Pretoria. He's also set to attend the BRICS summit in Durban.
BRICS is an emerging-economy group which is made up of Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa. The BRICS group accounts for over 40 percent of the world's population and one-fifth of global GDP.
