It's April, 2003, and in Iraq junior doctor Salam Ismael is one of the few national servicemen still at his post at the Military Academy on the outskirts of Baghdad when news comes through - the Americans are approaching.
"Our commander came out. He changed his clothes, military civilian. He said: 'everyone goes home.' And we have to walk all the highway, all the way home. I went to sleep underneath the stairs with my family. I was under the blanket and my sister, my mum on the side. I trying to hide my tears when I listening to the BBC telling us that American, they entered airport from Baghdad and feeling all that pain inside that we are lost as your country has been occupied 'cause of illegal war. And that was the pain regardless it's Saddam or not Saddam."

之后随着伊拉克安全部队渐渐败退，一系列的暴乱劫掠开始了。
