The first session of the 12th National Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference opens this afternoon at 3:00 pm (BJT) at the Great Hall of the People.
The CPPCC is China’s top political advisory body. This year’s session will last nine days and close on March 12th. Top political advisor Jia Qinglin will deliver the Standing Committee’s work report for the 11th CPPCC National Committee.
