Elephants may seem out of place in this landscape, but they're not the only ones. Amazingly, lions live here, too. In savannah country huge herds of games support prides containing 20 lions or more. But to live here lions have had to change their habits. Prides are much smaller and their home ranges are very much bigger. And there's an added problem. Their food is always on the move. Like the elephants, the lions must travel great distances to find enough to live on. But lions can't go everywhere.
