《泰姬快车》讲述的是贫民窟的神偷与一个富家千金充满浪漫与冒险的爱情故事。去年6月，该剧在新加坡首演，随后返回印度首都孟买连演4场，其后就被中国演出公司带到中国。它的足迹遍布中国的大江南北，从去年12月19日江西南昌开始，接着海口、厦门、武汉、中山、9号抵达广州连演4晚，其后还将前往上海、深圳、佛山等，最后于本月27日在北京结束此次旅程。
There’s plenty of cultural exchanges like that taking place in China, too. The Bollywood musical "Taj Express" is hitting the road here. Its nationwide tour has kicked off in Nanchang and Haikou, and now it is thrilling audiences in Guangzhou.
"Taj Express" tells the story of a poor boy named Vasu who made an unforgettable journey with his muse Meera, a girl from a wealthy family. They make an exhilarating and vibrant journey from Mumbai, the city of dreams, to Agra, home to the Taj Mahal.
Taj Express is not just a typical Bollywood-style show. It has an incredible mix of new pop and deep-rooted traditions. The show features over 300 extravagant costumes, 500 accessories, spectacular sets, and magical and toe-tapping music.
Audience Member said: "I like the the Indian style show. The music, the rhythm, and the dance are very good."
"Taj Express" debut in India in July, 2011. Its world premier in Singapore last year received solid reviews. The China tour started in Nanchang and has travelled to Haikou, Xiamen, Wuhan and Zhongshan. The performance in Guangzhou lasts until January 12th. |
