M: Oh, hello, Donna. You missed my lecture yesterday.
W: I know, I'm really sorry about that. I had a bicycle accident coming to class.
M: Bicycle accident! Are you OK?
W: I sprained my ankle. Well, the doctors fixed it up.
M: Gotta be careful now... So I guess you're here because you need the handouts.
W: Actually, I did make a copy of the handouts you gave to the class. Spencer let me copy them... and I copied his notes as well. I came because some of Spencer's notes weren't very clear, so I just want to make sure I understood that part of the lesson right.
M: Which part was it about?
W: The Great Depression.
M: Well, I'm not really going to include the Great Depression in the test... I discussed it only as it relates to the Greatest Generation. And if that part of the lesson was clear to you...
W: Yes, it was clear... so I, I guess I won't need to...
M: Well, if you really want to know more about the Great Depression, I've got another handout here you might find useful.
W: OK, professor. Thanks, I'd like to know more about it.
M: Here it is! That's just extra information, but I promise, it won't show up on the test. |
