答疑：betty0925Energetic pop rock is how Neon Trees describe their sound. In the last two years the band has made it to the Billboard Top 20 with both of their albums. Their newest CD is titled Picture Show. Tyler Glenn describes how they approached their new project.
"We went into it thinking very fearless about it, 'cause I think there's plenty of other bands I love have gone in to make a second record and I think that you can tell they have overthought it. With us we just wanted to do the kind of music we wanted to do and the influences that we have always talked about. I am very happy with it. It's more mature but still very fun."
Tyler Glenn did not always plan to be the lead singer of a rock band. "I was just gonna be like a journalist. I always liked writing and the arts, but I was in music and I started playing in bands and that was when that I felt me really come out of my shell on the stage and feel really alive."
Tyler admits he has an alter ego to help him deal with his stage fright. "I have to, I think, because I am a very natural introvert. I think when I put the clothes on and listen to music before and just kinda get hyped. But in the last couple of years getting fans and a really nice fan base to show up and sing everything with you. You feel that energy and exchange. I think that's really helped me not have to do a bunch of rituals or whatever. Tyler Glenn并不是一直想成为摇滚乐队的主唱。“我曾想当一名记者，因为我一直很喜欢写作和文学。但我是为音乐而生的。在我进入音乐殿堂开始玩乐队后，站在舞台上的我真的有种卸去伪装，真正活着的感觉。”
Tyler承认他用第二人格来帮助他克服舞台恐惧症。“我必须这样做，因为我是一个天生内向的人。在登台前，我穿上演出服，听到音乐的那一刻，我开始变得兴奋。在后来几年，还有乐迷和粉丝团到场和我一起合唱，可以感觉到现场激情四射的能量。这让我不用再墨守陈规了，我现可以更多地放开走出去，展现出最真实的自己。”
