        据悉，这台净重约30多斤的可爱机器人其实就是一台带有两个轮子的电话会议系统。它自我平衡性非常好，身上携带的两个铝质橡胶轮会使它具有同人类一样的正常步行速度。此外，它的高度还可以在约0.91米到1.73米之间任意变换。
       
        在QB的主板上有一台主控电脑和几台迷你电脑。它的头部有一台液晶显示器，远程操控人员只需在家安置一只摄像头，本人的形象就可出现在显示器上。QB的一只眼睛中有一只500万像素的摄像头，远程操控者通过这个摄像头可以看到会议室的场景。它的耳朵中有三个麦克风，从而将会议室的声音真实地传达给使用者。最后，QB机器人会将会议所涉及的全部信息通过互联网传达给使用者。 这台QB机器人将在今年秋季上市，价格会在10500英镑左右。

        Developed by Bob Christopher, the brainchild behind the Pleo dinosaurs, the cute looking robot is essentially a teleconferencing system on wheels. This means your mechanical representative is far more flexible - moving between rooms or even down to the factory floor.
       
        The robot can alter its height from 3ft to 5.7ft and weighs 2.5st, with a main computer and several mini-computers on board. It has an LCD monitor mounted on its head which feeds a webcam image of the telecommuter.
       
        It "sees" via a 5MP video camera in one eye, and a lower resolution camera on the head that points downwards. It "hears" via three microphones that feed audio to the telecommuter, and has high-quality speakers for audio in the other direction.
       
        This information is then transmitted to the remote user via a web browser, who can direct the robot with simple keyboard commands. QB is self-balancing and rolls around on two aluminium and rubber wheels at human walking speed. "T0he QB is an extension of you,"Mr Christopher told Wired.com.
       
        "t removes the barriers between people and work so people can teleport themselves to the office space." The robot will cost £10,500 and will be available from this autumn.
