实用英语：告别仪式 departure ceremony

　　美国当选总统奥巴马于当地时间20日中午(北京时间21日凌晨)在首都华盛顿宣誓就职。据估计，有200万人在现场观礼，此外全球还有15亿观众通过电视收看就职典礼实况。而“得州牛仔”布什也正式离任，回到他在得克萨斯州克里福德附近的农场。

        　　之后，奥巴马陪同前任总统布什至专用直升机搭乘处，布什首先飞往安德鲁斯空军基地参加一个私人告别仪式，然后到得州米德兰参加欢迎集会，最后他在傍晚时分抵达得州克里福德附近的农场。
        　　在上面的报道中，departure ceremony就是指“告别仪式”。比如：There was a brief departure
ceremony, televised live coast to coast, on the south Lawn at the White
House.(在白宫南草坪上举行了简短的告别仪式，仪式的实况通过电视向全国转播)。Departure在这里表示“离开、启程”，比如 departure
date就是指“动身日期”。如果是搭乘飞机，那么肯定要经过departure hall/lounge(候机大厅)和departure
gate(登机口)。现在春运期间，如果你准备take your departure(动身启程)，一定要提前看看departure
message(发车时刻表)。
        　　此外，departure还可以用来表示“违反、偏离”等意思，departure from the
truth就是指“失真”。如果没有完全违背，那就是relative departure(相对偏离)。如果与之前的做法相违背，那就是departure from
precedent(违背先例)。
        　　“告别仪式”还可以用farewell ceremony或者seeing-off ceremony来表示。最常见的仪式还有opening/closing
ceremony(开幕/闭幕式)，signing ceremony(签字仪式)，awarding
ceremony(颁奖仪式)等等。此外，ceremony还可以用来指“礼节、礼貌”。你习惯于stand on/upon
ceremony(讲客套)还是without ceremony(不拘礼节)呢?身边有些人They use much ceremony with each
