　　新年快到了，又要给朋友寄贺卡了。但是每年消耗这么多贺卡是不是也很浪费呢?英国一家公司设计出一款“食用贺卡”，既满足了人们的需求，又可以做到绿色环保。
        　　An edible Christmas card has been designed by a Devon company to try to be
as seasonally "green" as possible.
        　　英国德文郡一家公司设计出一款可吃的圣诞贺卡，既适应消费旺季的需求，又尽可能做到了环保。
        　　The card, with a picture of Brussels sprouts on the front, is made from
potato starch paper and printed with food colouring instead of ink.
        　　卡的封面是小洋白菜的图片。卡是用土豆淀粉做的，并用食用色素替代油墨上色印刷。
        　　It was created by a graphic design company based in Tiverton, Devon, and
about 200 have been made.

        　　"It's not very tasty but next year we are thinking of doing flavoured
ones," said Malcolm Buttel of Oxygen Creative.

        　　Mr Buttel said he and his colleagues had bought a new printer and modified
it to run on food colouring instead of ink.

        　　"The cards have come out quite well. One of the recipients has eaten his
card already," he said.

        　　Steve Lodge, managing director, said: "The card highlights the fact that
there are many different ways to make a difference to the environment."
