　　庙会(temple fair)是中国的一种传统民俗活动。有传说认为，庙会源于古人祭祀土地神(village god),后来渐渐演变成商品交易市场和文化表演场所。庙会通常在庙里或寺庙附近的露天场地举行，时间常在节日或特定的日子。有些庙会只在春节举行。尽管不同地区的庙会时间不同，但是内容相似。农民和商人出售自己的农产品、玉器、花鸟鱼虫等;工匠摆摊展示并出售手工艺品;民间艺术家搭建舞台表演歌舞;普通民众来庙会购买商品、观看表演以及品尝特色小吃。

Some are held only during the Spring Festival. Although differentplaces hold their temple fairs on various dates, the contents are similar.
