　　一、意义
        　　1. 表示“天使”。如：
        　　She is lovely -- as much so as an angel. 她可爱得像个天使。
        　　My little daughter is as lovely as an angel. 我的小女儿像天使一样可爱。
        　　Angels are usually shown in pictures dressed in white, with wings. 在图画中的天使通常是身穿白衣, 生有翅膀。
        　　2. 用于引申义，表示“可爱的人”。
        　　二、搭配
        　　a guarding angel 守护天使
        　　avenging angel 复仇天使
        　　evil angel 堕落天使
        　　fallen angel 堕落天使an angel of a child 天使般的孩子
        　　三、易错
        　　1. 注意不要与angle 相混淆，后者的意思是“角，角度”。如：
        　　The two roads lie at an angle of about 45 degrees. 这两条路交叉成45度角。
        　　2. 不要误解下面句子的意思：
        　　Be an angel and felch me my slippers please. 请行行好，把我的拖鞋拿来。
        　　Be an angel and make me a cup of tea. 你做做好事，给我沏杯茶吧。
        　　My angel mother had made me what I am. —A. Lincoln 我的慈母使我有今天。(林肯语)
        　　四、谚语
        　　Speak of angels, and you will hear their wings. 说到谁，谁就到;说曹操，曹操到。
        　　Fools rush in where angels fear to tread. 智者裹足不前，愚者铤而走险。
