　　1.一个潜在的追求者(suitor)可能要很有幽默感而且要英俊，但真正重要的是，他是否拥有一套房子以及房子的大小:“很有幽默感”可用a good sense of humor表示。“英俊”可译为good looks。“重要”可译为动词matter,常用的表达是it doesn't matter.(没关系。）
　　2.另外，可观的银行存款是必需的，而且有人说，豪车也是必需的:“必需”可译为must, must在这里是可数名词，指“绝对必要的事物”。“豪车也是必需的”可用a luxury car is a must,too,但如果用倒装省略句so is aluxury car,则会给文章增色不少。
　　3.如果你看中国电视节目的话，至少现在看起来是这样的:“至少”可译at least，与其相对的“至多”则可译为at most。“看起来是这样的”可理解为“这就是事情看起来的样子，故可译为that's the way things look。
