翻译原文：
　　中国经济的崛起和国际形象的不断提升吸引了好莱坞(Hollywood)的目光。去年，中国电影市场的票房收入(boxoffice receipts)达到了170亿美元，排名世界第二。而与此同时，美国电影市场的票房收入则在持续下降。因此，中国市场对于美国电影业而言是一个极具吸引力的增长机会。一胜好莱坞制片厂(studio)已与中国公司合作制作基于中国历史和文化的电影以开拓中国市场。
　　1.第1句中的“国际形象的不断提升”，其中“不断提升”是一个动态的过程，因此宜将其处理为现在分词，作定语修饰“国际形象”，该短语表达为growing international image。“吸引了......的目光”可直译为attract the eyes of，也可译为attract sb.'s attention，但都不如 attract sb.来得简单。
　　2.第2句若处理为并列结构The box office receipts...reached..., and ranked...，则表达略显平淡。“排名世界第二”是对前一分句的补充说明，故可将其处理成伴随状语，用分词短语ranking the second in the world来表达。
　　3.第4句的定语“极具吸引力的”表达为mostattractive，most在此意为“很，非常”，并非最高级the most。状语“对于美国电影业而言”用介词短语for the American movie industry来表达，置于句末。
　　4.最后一句的“制作……的电影”是好莱坞制片厂与中国公司合作的内容，可将其处理成目的状语，用不定式短语to make films...来表达。定语“基于中国历史和文化的”较长，因此将其处理为后置定语，用过去分词短语based on Chinese history and culture译出。“以开拓中国市场”为目的状语，可用不定式短语to exploitChinese market 来表达。
