　　中国经济正在以两位数的速度增长，但就像世界银行(the World Bank)指出的那样，随着经济的持续增长，避免所谓的中等收人差距(middle income gap)并不容易。从一个“中等收入”国家过渡到“高收入”国家的难度要远远高于从一个 “低收入”国家过渡到“中等收入”国家的难度。中国依然拥有仅次于印度的全球第二大贫困人口量。国家最贫困人口的收入应该随着经济的增长有所上升。

　　China's economy is growing at a double-digit rate, but as the World Bank has pointed out, it won't be easy to avoid what is known as the middle income gap as its economy continues to grow. Moving from being a “middle income” to a “high income” country is a lot harder than moving from being a “low income” to a “middle income”country. China still has the second largest number of poor population in the world after India.The incomes of the country's poorest should be rising in line with economic growth.
