US tech giant Hewlett-Packard is selling a 51% stake in its Chinese server business for $2.3bn to Tsinghua Holdings.美国科技巨头惠普将把在华服务器业务的51%股份出售给清华控股，作价23亿美元。
The deal brings together HP with the investment arm of China's Tsinghua University in a joint venture called H3C, worth $4.5bn.这项交易将使惠普和清华大学的投资部门共同持有价值45亿美元的合资公司新华三（H3C）。
The new firm is being touted as the leader in China for computer servers, storage and technology services.这家新公司被宣扬为中国服务器、存储和技术服务业务的领头羊。
It will have about 8,000 workers and $3.1bn in annual revenues, HP said.惠普表示，该公司将拥有约8000名员工，年收入达31亿美元。
"HP is making a bold move to win in today's China," said chief executive Meg Whitman in a statement. Meanwhile, the California company, which is one of the world's largest makers of personal computers, said it would still fully own its existing China-based enterprise services, PC business and other operations in China.同时，作为世界最大的个人电脑制造商之一，总部位于美国加州的惠普公司表示，它将继续全额持有在华的现有业务，包括企业服务、个人电脑等。
This latest move comes after the tech giant announced a plan last year to split itself into two separate companies - with one focusing on PCs and printers, and the other on software and enterprise services.在此次变动前，惠普于去年宣布将拆分为两家独立的公司。一家专注于个人电脑和打印机业务，另一家则负责软件和企业服务。
