        Maldives President Mohamed Nasheed has resigned following weeks of public protests over his controversial order to arrest a senior judge.马尔代夫总统穆罕默德纳希德(Mohamed Nasheed)今天辞去了总统职位。此前他下令逮捕该国一名高级法官的行为引发了争议，导致持续数周的公众抗议。
        Brig. Ahmed Shiyam told reporters Tuesday that Nasheed has agreed to step down and hand over the presidency to his deputy Mohammed Waheed Hassan.军方旅长希亚姆(Brig. Ahmed Shiyam)周二对记者说，总统纳希德已经同意下台，将总统权力移交给她的副手哈山(Mohammed Waheed Hassan)。
