1. as white as snow 洁白如雪(white 视觉上的颜色)
Eg: His hair is as white as snow.
他的头发洁白如雪。(放首周杰伦的发如雪?)
2. be as pure as the driven snow 内心纯洁的 (pure 精神上的纯洁) the snow is driven by
a shovel.
to be morally good.
eg: How dare he criticize me for having an affair? He's not exactly as pure
as the driven snow himself.
他怎么敢埋怨我having an affair?他自己也不是冰清玉洁的。
3. snowed in (physically) 被大雪困住了。
i can't get there, i'm snowed in.
where r u snowed in?
i'm snowed in at Ba bao shan.
4. be snowed under 被困住了
overwhelm.
注意是说工作太多或者手头的事情忙不过来，分身乏术。
to have so much work that you have problems dealing with it all.
eg: She wants me to take some time off but I'm snowed under with work at
the moment. (often + with)
她想让我抽出点时间来给她，可我当时工作太忙了。
5. a snowball effect 雪球效应 snowball(动词vt)
如同雪球一样越滚越大，形容事物发展规模速度疯狂增长。
a situation in which something increases in size or importance at a faster
and faster rate.
eg: "Sally's happy about how her new seafood restaurant is doing. Business
was slow at first but it's really snowballed the
last couple of months: now you have to wait in line to get a table."
