        Chinese authorities have ordered the 2D version of "Avatar" pulled from screens across the country, reportedly, part of the reason is to reduce competition for China's homegrown films.
        中国已经下令在全国停映2D版《阿凡达》，据说部分原因是为了帮助本土电影减少竞争压力。
        在上面的报道中，homegrown film就是“本土电影”，也就是国产电影。Homegrown指“本地或本国出产的”，例如：homegrown tomatoes（本地产的西红柿）。另外，homegrown还可以指“有本地特色的，土生土长的”，例如：homegrown literature（乡土文学）。
        现在许多国家都注重发展native culture（本土文化），各地方也大力发展local economy（本土经济），建立homegrown company（本土公司），我国去年为了对抗甲流，还自行研制了homegrown vaccine（本土疫苗）。
